Disability Case Manager

Our client, one of the Largest Insurance companies in North America is hiring multiple people to join their team in Calgary as a Disability Case Manager for a one year contract. Reporting to the Manager of Group Disability you’ll be responsible for managing disability claims to resolution including; determining eligibility for benefits as well as support recovery and return to work claims.

Day to Day:

  • Openly communicating and engaging plan members to best understand their absence from work situation
  • Collaborate with members, sponsors, lawyers, and health care practitioners to obtain information, assess claims, create action plans and decisions
  • Prioritize work items in order to meet client service standards
  • Contribute to the team by always looking for ways to improve processes and customer service

Need to be Successful:

  • Minimum of2 years in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to get along with different types of personalities and stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorates and stellar customer service and follow up skills
