Full Stack Developer, CMS

You should definitely have experience with:

  • Modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React

  • Custom development on CMS platforms like Drupal, WordPress, Django CMS, Brightspot CMS, etc.

    • We are looking for developers who have heavily modified models, APIs, extensions, or platform code; not just theme changes or configuration

  • Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS

  • Modern JavaScript patterns and ES6

  • Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS

  • Databases, such as PostgreSQL

  • Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments

  • Version control, such as Git

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

It would be nice if you had experience with:

  • CICD pipelines such as Jenkins

  • Cloud environments such as AWS

  • Data ingestion/transformation

We are also open to having this person work remote from anywhere in the U.S. Are you up to the challenge? This position requires comfort working with front-end development and web standards as well as backend technologies. In particular, it will involve close interaction with our editorial and content teams and a lot of hands-on development within our customized CMS.
