In the role of Accounting Specialist role, you will be
responsible for billing, job costing, monthly accruals,
reconciliations, tracking projects and preparing financial
reports.

When it’s time for the monthly close, you’ll be responsible for
various aspects of internal reporting. You will also participate in
compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly
reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the
reporting processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it
    in a useful and understandable manner
  • Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum
    supervision
  • Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations
    including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and
    payroll
  • Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation,
    including annual closing process
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
  • Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple
    departments
  • Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
  • Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income
    statement analyses for reporting to management
  • Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to
    internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance
    with GAAP
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and
    reconciliation

    • The ideal candidate for this position will have 5+ years of
    accounting experience and good knowledge of billing processes.

    Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot
    tables, formulas and vlookup experience. If you are interested in

  • Recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical
    deadlines
  • Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a
    strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
  • Billing experience
  • General familiarity with Create Reports
  • Practical knowledge of Create Reports
  • Well-founded grasp of Job Cost
  • Proven knowledge of Prepare Quotes
  • Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience highly desired
  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Monthly Accruals experience desired
  • Deep understanding of Billing Functions
  • BA / BS degree not required
  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational
    and writing skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities
