Robert Half Finance is searching for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor for their client located in Vaughan. The AR Supervisor will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the Accounts Receivable functions and perform the activities necessary to lead and facilitate the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable team. This role will be focused on ensuring timely collection of invoices, credit limit assessment, broker payment, supporting pricing, customer master and supporting audit deductions. AR Supervisor will also be responsible for managing all A/R accounting month-end functions including: accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable ledger, journal entries, reporting, preparing and responding to all internal/external audits, including SOX compliance and act as the focal for audit inquiries.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate all aspects of daily Accounts Receivable activities:
  • Ensure timely collection of accounts and processing of cash posting
  • Maintenance of Accounts Receivable ledger, including debits, credits and on-account balances
  • Ensure issues are resolved, develop and implement front end solutions
  • Responsible for credit risk assessment and management of existing and new accounts
  • Review and release credit holds daily
  • Resolve credit issues with customers
  • Review, determine and recommend credit limit for customers and establish credit rating
  • Coordinate and prepare all month end close activities, journal entries, revenue reporting and reconciliations. Review account activity and balances for all balance sheet accounts and investigate any unusual items or missed postings to ensure balances are rectified
  • Lead Team and Performance Metrics such as identify training and skills development of team and provide coaching as required to support day-to-day operations
  • Monitor workload distribution and account assignment and make changes as required
  • Motivate team for optimum performance and manage personnel issues
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and Accounts Receivable reviews
  • Drive achievement of departmental measurements (A/R KPI, DSO, Days to Pay, deductions outstanding)
  • Drive process improvements to increase productivity and efficiencies within Accounts Receivable team
  • Manage systems issues and provide direction on corrective actions as they arise
  • Provide weekly activity and operational update to Manager
  • Prepare, summarize and report KPI results for department and sales team
  • Support Accounts Receivable activities
  • Manage an Order-to-Cash service offering for multiple clients with large volume of transactions which include defining appropriate service level agreements/SOP’s with O2C clients
  • Provide monthly KPI reports for clients and touch base on client account status and updates



Job Requirements
  • University Degree (preferable in Accounting / Business Administration /Finance)
  • 3+ years Supervisory Experience in Accounts Receivables and collections
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate an Accounts Receivable team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs of the business
  • Strong team player and team builder with a desire to work in a team environment
  • ERP knowledge such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics experience is preferred
  • Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office) – particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
