What you’ll be doing
You will be a member of a small team, working alongside other software teams implementing the full driver stack for PowerVR graphics hardware.
As part of the Android team you'll be focusing on developing Android specific portions of our driver such as the display controllers, kernel interfaces and hardware-specific parts of the OS. This role will bring you into contact with current and future generations of GPU hardware. We work with a wide range of platforms from development boards and prototypes to customers’ production systems.
- Develop our Android HALs such as gralloc, mapper, allocator, and composer
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the graphics stack from the Android framework down to the kernel drivers
- Bring-up reference platforms following the latest changes to Android and the Linux kernel
- Enhance and maintain our internal testing environment and build system

- Excellent C/C++ programming skills
- Experience in low-level driver development for Android or Linux
You might also have:
- Some experience with modern graphics APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL ES etc.)
- Knowledge of the Android graphics stack
- Experience in Android HAL development
