Your tasks

  • Developing and continuously delivering applications for one of the most successful e-commerce platforms in Europe

Requirements

  • Working experience of minimum 4 years in a similar field
  • Knowledge of accessible semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js
  • Knowledge of React or Preact
  • User experience and visual design knowledge
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approach
  • Experience with version control systems (we use Git)
  • An agile mindset and experience with Scrum, Kanban, or XP are ideal
  • Solution-driven and collaborative approach
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with design/prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Knowledge of TypeScript (or any other statically typed language)
  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Practical experience in the backend

  • Engage in and improve from inception to delivery the pipelines for all products within Chewy
  • Develop automated solutions to monitor and support our software development and release processes
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability, security, and velocity
  • Collaborate with other engineers to establish and refine org-wide best practices, service ecosystem, data flows, reference architectures, reusable modules, and tooling.
  • Establish, champion, and implement standards and best practices that enable automated test and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
