ISG Services Business Analyst

Job Description:

The Business Analyst will:

•         Manage multiple program streams and develop technology solutions utilizing a strategy defined by the working group with solid input from the candidate,

•         Perform data analysis activities utilizing strong Excel and analytical skills,

•         Mentor and indirectly manage junior team members while developing solutions, aiding in their growth as individual contributors

•         Review existing processes critically in order to identify efficiencies and propose strategic plans for implementing efficient solutions

•         Author formal artifacts such as Business Requirement Documents, CAP closure and Internal Audit documents, and communication materials for senior management and key business partners in the form of PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets,

•         Communicate effectively with both Business partners and Technology partners in order to “translate” requirements and limitations and to drive stakeholders toward mutually beneficial solutions

•         Create project plans and be held responsible for committed deadlines as several projects will be mandated by regulators and, therefore, the commitments must be met on time,

•         Exhibit curiosity and independently research key topics to familiarize her/himself on the context necessary to further critically review existing processes,

•         Become familiar with Client systems and data architecture in order to understand the context and limitations of business requirements,

•         Be focused on her/his professional growth and will be proactive in learning skills necessary to exceed in the role.

In the role, the Vice President will have senior management exposure, steer highly impactful process improvements, and influence others internal and external to ISG to complete projects within committed deadlines.

Job Requirements


The Business Analyst is expected to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, etc.
  • Greater than 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience working with financial data and have a baseline understanding of corporate loans
  • Awareness of general concepts/ principles of risk management (credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, strategic risk and/or capital markets and finance)
  • Experience in a data analytics or development role utilizing relational databases with SQL
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Python
  • Experience working closely with IT and Development teams
  • Experience in business process reengineering and/or process automation
