Java Software Engineering

Responsibilities

As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Requirements
* Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
* 5+ years of experience in multiple modern programming languages: Java (primary)
* Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems.
* Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices.
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
* Hands on experience working on Java Frameworks - Springboot,
* Hands on experience working with Messaging Technologies - Kafka
* Hands on experience working with Databases - Oracle SQL, PL-SQL and no-sql databases such as cassandra
* Experience with cloud-based technologies - Kubernetes, AWS, Google, etc. (preferred, not required)
* Prior Experience with industry standard tools - Jenkins, Jules, Junit, Maven, GIT
* Experience of modern software development practices - TDD, Pair Programming
* Experience with UI frameworks like Angular or React is preferred
* Detailed understanding of system development lifecycle, infrastructure best practices and risk management concepts.
* Strong drive and ability to learn and apply new/emerging technologies
* Strong analytics and problem-solving skills
