Your job as Software Designer
As Software Designer at TOPIC you have an important role within our complex development projects. You are a sparring partner and advisor for customers and stakeholders with regard to software architecture and design and you support them in making the right technical choices.
You will be working on the design of a (sub)system, module or component and (monitoring) the implementation of the chosen solution. Within the team, you will be the go-to person with regards to technical questions and you will often have a leading role.
As Software Designer within TOPIC you can contribute and add value to our organization in many ways. Depending on your wishes and ambitions, you can expand your responsibilities by contributing to architectural sessions or being the lead designer for the refactoring of a specific component or module of a system. The coaching of team members and/or deciding on the right technology choices for a new development project can also be part of your future responsibilities.
As Software Designer at TOPIC you will be part of a team working on state-of-the-art projects covering the entire process; ranging from the definition of requirements to delivery.? Our projects are caried out at our inspiring office in Best or on-site at location of our high-tech customers.
As Software Designer at TOPIC:
- You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in (applied) Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics and/or Mathematics;
- You have over 8 years of relevant working experience within the high-tech domain. You also have experience with the realisation of complex projects (from requirements to delivery).
- You have knowledge of and experience in several (O.O). programming languages as, C, C++, C#, Python and/or Java and you are familiar with multiple design methods.
- Your communicative and social skills are on point and you have the charisma to lead a team and convince stakeholders. Excellent oral and written command of the English language is required for this role.

Our job structure model consists of several seniority levels ranging from Programmer to System architect. Your position in the salary scale will be conform your previous experience and expertise. For this position we are looking for a Software Designer. The annual all-in benefit package will be between €50.000 and €70.000.
Additionally, you will also receive an insurance package, a good pension scheme and a yearly study budgetincluding paid training days. We offer a home office support package and TOPIC has a relocation assistance program in place for new employees.
