Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)


Our mission at Mimi is to give everyone the best possible hearing experience and protect your hearing health. We are the world’s leading provider of hearing-based audio personalization and digital hearing test technologies. Our team has developed a biologically-inspired and proprietary audio processing technology that knows how well you hear in order to personalize your listening experience and prevent hearing damage. Mimi’s technology can be integrated into consumer electronics devices, such as headphones, smartphones, TVs, in-flight entertainment systems and a range of systems and platforms.

To help us bring amazing hearing technology to more people around the world, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for full-time employment in Berlin.

NOTE: With this role we are happy to support flexible working and accept candidates looking for a working week of 28-40 hours (70-100%)


As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will…

  • Assess new technologies; evaluate implementation strategies and technical trade-offs
  • Maintain existing infrastructure
  • Establish engineering best practices for CI/CD, containerization, QA, and more through solid design decisions, processes, and tools
  • Take part with the rest of the Infrastructure team in holiday and night shift duties


  • 5+ years of experience in a software DevOps Engineer role with a track record of successful international projects
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of different logging and monitoring platforms and solutions (ELK, TICK and similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD process and related technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI)
  • Solid understanding of security principles.
  • Relevant experience in efficient design of infrastructure to support a performant, scalable, highly available and distributed environment
  • Experience with running and maintaining globally available services
  • You have the ability to work autonomously with high quality-awareness and reliability


  • Are open, curious, with a bold approach to problem-solving
  • Have good understanding of at least 1 programming language such as Python / TypeScript
  • Previous experience in hosting highly available databases (we currently use MongoDB and PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with at least one of the major cloud providers. (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)


In 3 months: Onboarded and is able to perform the disaster recovery procedure

In 6 months: Leads a smaller epic/workstream

In 1 year: Owns the infrastructure and proactively takes initiatives to challenge status quo
