Senior PHP Developer

North American Bancard – Remote

Our team of Developers create and maintain systems written in various programming languages and databases. We are looking for someone who has experience coding in a deadline driven, multi-project environment and creating an intuitive experience for solving business problems. To be considered for this position you will need to have strong backend development skills and experience with PHP & Symfony framework. We are looking for a strong analytical problem solver, who can maintain a high attention to detail working independently or as part of a team, in a remote setting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Writing new code, improving existing code, testing and operating existing and new systems using PHP & Symfony/Express.js frameworks

  • Write systems, API and user documentations

  • Writing unit, functional, integration and performance tests

  • Working in an agile environment, collaborating with other Developers, Quality Assurance, Business Users, and Project Managers in solving new and existing technical challenges

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent education/experience

  • 4+ years of professional-level Object Oriented PHP Development experience, including experience with MVC frameworks

  • 2+ years of Symfony and Express.js experience
  • 2+ years of microservice/RESTFul API experience

  • 2+ years of professional-level Typescript/Javascript experience

  • 2+ years Linux experience
