Network Software Engineer

Intel is looking for a DevOps and Automation engineer in the Networking Platform Group. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for end-to-end automation of the software delivery flow to accelerate the deliveries to key customers as part of Intel’s 5G portfolio. The role would include creation and maintenance of flows, manage software integration across different teams, debug and provide creative solutions to address issues, and provide releases to customers.

The ideal candidate should have a hands-on experience in using Git(preferably GitHub), Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, KVM. A strong background in python, compilers, make, robot and Linux shell scripting is required. In this role, you will be part of a Software Team that provides CI/CD infrastructure and end-to-end flow for multiple products and teams.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering fields with 4+ year of experience OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related engineering fields with 3+ years of experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in :

    • Hands-on experience working with CI/CD tools.

    • Strong in using Git (GitHub) as a version control system and providing commit hooks.

    • Experience designing end-to-end flows with CI/CD tools like Jenkins

    • Hands-on experience with robot framework.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Hands-on knowledge of make, gcc, python, bash on Linux (Ubuntu, SLES).

  • Strong analytical skills in debugging issues with CI/CD flow.

  • Familiar with virtualization technologies such as using containers or KVM deployment using hypervisor or an orchestration software (knowledge on Docker, Kubernetes, Openstack, SR-IOV for networking is a plus)

  • Knowledge of Ansible/Puppet.

  • Willing to manage multiple different tasks and communicate effectively.

  • Willing to collaborate across time zones and teams around the globe.
