$75,000-$80,000 / YEARVaco Financial is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a company at their Memphis location to provide financial analysis and forecasting in support of new product development.
The Financial Analyst’s duties and responsibilities are:
- Responsible for annual budget and quarterly forecasts for sales, marketing, and advertising departments
- Responsible for forecasting customer margins and programming expense
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives for various customers
- Monthly analysis of margin and departmental expense variances
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Improve company performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
- Responsible for financial analyses of New Product Development, including post-analysis
- Responsible for financial analyses for company growth initiatives
- Works closely with eCommerce marketing and sales teams to develop metrics to drive increased sales and profitability
- Some travel required (<10%)
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting or other analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Excel proficiency required
- Strong analytical skills and natural curiosity
- Able to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to take on additional and growing responsibilities
- Comfortable working with and presenting to executive staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a part of or leader of a team
