Backend Tech Lead, Customer Service Platform


  • Build and manage a small team of system software engineers working on recommendation system;
  • Provide technical leadership to drive all phases of customer service system architecture iteration;
  • Work with TikTok cross-functional teams on delivering key results;
  • Provide team guidance, regular feedback, education, coaching and mentoring.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 5+ years of coding experience with a general purpose programming language (ie. Java, C/C++, Go, Python).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Redis/MySQL/Elasticsearch/Druid/Spark Streaming.
  • Experience working on distributed cloud services.
  • Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and their time and space performance.
  • Experience working in customer service/ops systems is preferred.
  • Good understanding of large scale backend service design is preferred.
