The Deamer Group is currently searching for a Residential Supervisor for our growing, non-profit client with multiple locations in the NW Suburbs of Chicago. This is a full-time, permanent position. Position Summary
The Residential Supervisor (RS) will work under the guidance of the Residential Manager. S/he is responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training and supervision of direct service staff and monitors staff compliance with all personnel requirements. A successful candidate will teach, monitor, and develop staff to implement detailed plans enabling youth success and self-sufficiency upon leaving the facility. Must maintain a current TCI certification and have a bachelor's degree with flexibility to be on the on-call rotation to handle emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure home is well maintained, appropriately staffed, and has all necessary supplies.
  • Provide supervision and evaluation of direct service staff including 90-day evaluation period and annual evaluation.
  • Complete and distribute staff schedule; manage and approve staff timesheets; monitor staff schedules and overtime; ensure adequate coverage of shifts.
  • Provide on the job training for staff.
  • Manage the facility including maintaining inventory, ensuring appliances are working properly, placing supply orders regularly, and ensuring home is clean and safe in compliance with DCFS licensing standards and Fire Marshall code.
  • Schedule routine carpet cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, and pest control services.
  • Ensure all client information is up-to-date and filed accordingly for staff use in implementing activities of daily living for goal attainment.
  • Monitor and report use of resources including supplies, cash on hand and expenses, and staff schedules.
  • Monitor basic needs of youth to ensure that staff are facilitating appointments for routine medical, dental, and prescription refills.
  • Write reports, communication logs and client files.
  • Maintain positive working relationships.
  • Provide crisis support as needed, modeling Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
  • Available to be on-call to maintain adequate coverage and handle emergencies as they arise.
  • Participate in staff and organizational meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • Two years' experience in a residential program required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services-related field.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge required (e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
