Unique Role! The Physical Therapy Rehab Specialist is a blend of a Physical Therapy Rehab Aide and a Personal Trainer. Our Physical Therapy clinic is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Rehab Specialist to work in our clinic. The Specialist role is to provide support within the clinic to our patients and teammates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Providing outstanding and professional customer service to ensure efficiency and promote positive patient experience. The Specialist has the unique opportunity to assist in all areas of our physical therapy clinic. The Specialist will gain experience into the world of physical therapy by assisting and guiding patients through therapeutic exercise under the direct supervision of our licensed staff, and by assisting the doctor during exams through patient intake and assisting note taking. The Specialist will assist our Practice Manager with the front desk activities such as answering clinic phone, scheduling patients, clinic correspondence and patient check in and co-pay collection. As a trainer you will bring your experience and integrate your programs with the therapists in our clinic to design personalized workouts which go beyond typical programs. As a Specialist you will provide training programs that reflect attention to the specific needs and wants of the client. The Specialist will also maintain responsibility for general maintenance and upkeep of clinic including, but not limited to, keeping track of inventory, maintaining a clean and clear clinic environment by cleaning all equipment, cleaning treatment tables, and emptying trash receptacles and carrying out Covid-19 sanitation protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS: Proven exceptional customer service and patient care experience. Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed patient expectations. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Physical Therapy environment experience preferred, but not required. You should apply if you have: a patient-first attitude, you are caring and outgoing, you enjoy being part of a team, you have Exercise Science or Kinesiology background and you hold personal training certification (CES, PES, ACSM cpt, NASM cpt, ACE cpt, etc).
