$82,000-$148,500 / YEARHealthcare Economics Analyst in the Healthcare Economics Department will be responsible for developing and distributing operational and client-facing reports, predictive analytics, prospective modeling and/or other data analyses.
Primary Responsibilities: · Interpret and analyze key performance indicators by region and state · Gather data from multiple sources and develop necessary analytic data results to enable accurate and robust quantitative analyses · Forecast utilization trends and create models using claims and other healthcare data · Assist in the development of reporting/analytics that presents key performance indicator data and utilization patterns · Summarize information and effectively communicate analyses in writing and verbally for internal and client use · Provide analytic support to clients and management on special data requests and ad hoc analyses as needed · Identify positive/negative trends and work to identify root causes in regional/market performance Required Qualifications: · Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution majoring in Math, Finance or Business · Must have proven work experience with SAS and/or SQL where you have created queries, pulled large data sets and performed data manipulations/analysis. · Must have experience with MS Excel functions that include working with large data sets, creating standardized reports, utilizing vLookups and advanced functions/ formulas; creating, using and interpreting pivot tables, filtering and formatting. · Knowledge of healthcare financial terms such as cost, utilization, Per Member Per Month (PMPM), hospice. · Basic understanding of Medicare program. Preferred Qualifications: · Analytical work experience within the healthcare industry specifically focusing on healthcare claims · Experience in modeling financial impacts · Self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work independently and collaborate through strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Strong project management experience and/or ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. · Demonstrated understanding of key healthcare concepts Job Requirements
