Hiring Full Time Perm .Net C# Developer Ottawa or Calgary Airline Analyst

Your new company
Our client is a well established airline recently had a merger with another airline. The airline provide service across north Canada. Due to a recent promotion, we have an promising vacancy to experienced .Net C# developers to join, working 60% on programming, and 40% as business analyst communicating with the business to get the requirements in.

Your new role
As this Senior Program Analyst, your job is a confirmation of programming (60%) and business communication (40%). The company has been 98% VB.Net and is now moving towards C#, .Net Core. The products you're developers are both Web and Desktop.
Your main responsibilities look like this:
? Contribute to the development, maintenance and support of sustainable applications
? Perform analysis, design, development, testing and implementation activities in order to support goals and objectives of the assigned initiatives, including documentation
? Collaborate closely with project teams, internal and external client groups to drive efficiencies and better decision support
? Write and debug code
? Adhere to strict deadlines in support of project implementations and designs
? Conduct application testing and end user quality assurance testing
? Deploy break fixes and warranty service of business support applications
? Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the enterprise and assist in designing new business and systems processes
? Plan, track and manage multiple work requests-initiatives can be Ad Hoc in nature or small projects
? Accurately extract and interpret information from a variety of sources to implement a solution
? Participate in self assessments and audits as required
? Ability to work in a support environment and prioritize tasks
? Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed
This is a role requires both solid programming skills, as well as skills to communicate with business units, so you need to have minimum 4 years of software development experience, previous experience working as a program analyst who has communicated with business and gather requirements, and be responsible for what you develop.
Other requirements are:
? Four (4) years of previous experience
? Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related program
? Previous experience in a Program Analyst / Software Developer Role
? Previous experience with ASP.NET, VB and C#, Visual Studio using ASP.NET Web, Windows Forms, and Console Applications
? Previous experience developing and supporting applications with Database experience (SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures) using SQL Server
? Previous experience with data integration, REST API, data ingestion, ETL, Data Lake or data marts
? Experience with CSS, HTML or Web-based application design an asset
? Experience with creation of reports in SSRS, Tableau or Power BI an asset
? Strong PC skills with MS Office
? Ability to communicate in an Indigenous language (Inuktitut preferred) considered an asset
? Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
? Able to work occasionally outside normal hours during product releasing stage (once a month)
