You will be based in Manchester City Centre with a forward thinking team.
Your new role
You will be providing oversight and governance of physical security audit preparations, outcomes, and finding remediation and resolution. require to review the existing security measures and processes and translate these to operational systems support processes. Ensuring the appropriate operational processes and models are in place to support the cloud implementation and maintenance of agreed principles. Part of the role will be to build, handle and champion a collaborative effort working within a cloud environment. And lead and handle business development and change opportunities.
You should have the ability to interpret relevance of security controls to relevant compliance with legal, best-practice, and regulatory requirements for cloud environments. While also having the ability to translate technical cloud security requirements into business language for key partners. Part of the role will be to engage with Senior HR partners to identify future requirements. Other aspects of the role include:
Keeping familiar with cloud security frameworks, compliance requirements and security operation
Document requirements for policies, procedures, and controls.
Continuously supervise processes and drive improvements in efficiency and quality of our day-to-day security processes.
Follow and promote the Incident Management process to ensure incidents (including security related issues) are handled optimally throughout their life cycle, including incident reporting to resolution.
Ensure ongoing compliance with security practices and policies.
Provide domain expertise to the development organisation and become the DevOps champion in all development activities.
Maintain clear and accurate DevOps operational documentation.
Contribute to regular operational and business focussed reporting metrics.
Know the latest on industry trends, tools, and standard methodologies.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of working within cloud implementation programmes including stabilisation and BAU maintenance.
Experience or knowledge of deployment methodologies and principles and an understanding of the core practices of DevOps
Must be a flexible self-starter, with the ability and experience to take on new requirements quickly and adapt to a growing and evolving team.
Excellent communication skills and self-motivated problem solver.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, able to convey information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll get in return
