Property Accountant Role:
The Property Accountant is responsible for managing their projects’ accounting responsibilities from start to finish. Daily duties would include: 
Perform monthly property management accounting and reporting for assigned properties
Review all invoices for accurate coding; batch and upload invoices 
Address invoice and payment issues with vendors
Copy and mail vendor payments weekly 
Assist with preparation of year-end 1099 reporting and CAM reconciliations
Post rent and charges on a monthly basis, working with Property Manager for approval of all charges and late fees
Prepare deposits daily 
Perform cash management functions, enter cash receipts and ensure payment plans are followed
Address billing questions and concerns with appropriate parties 
Prepare and distribute monthly tenant statements
Run and reconcile reports for monthly financial reporting packages
Bank account reconciliations 
Prepare monthly draw schedules to ensure complete draws are processed on a timely basis 
Record all financial transactions in the general ledger
Prepare and record monthly accruals
Enter annual budgets and assist with monthly variance reports
Review and update rent rolls, set up new tenants 

Property Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; Will consider experience in lieu of degree 
2+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate accounting with similar projects 
Proficiency with Yardi, MRI, or similar software is required 
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills 
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently while still able adding to a team environment
