First-Lockhart National Bank is a family owned community bank and our Board wants to maintain this status for decades to come. We are 131 years old this year, but our attitude, products and services are not stuck in the past. We are constantly evaluating new technologies to stay relevant in the market. Our Austin office is a key component of our current profitability and our future success. Currently, Austin has $80mm in loans and $47mm in deposits. We have plenty of liquidity to support a successful loan producer.

Job Description


The Austin Market President is a leadership role managing and promoting the FLNB brand in the Austin area. Key responsibilities are generating loans for commercial real estate, investment properties and SFR that meet our credit standards; generating core deposits in the form of personal and business DDAs; and contributing to the leadership of the Bank as a member of the senior management Team.

Lending/Business Development Characteristics

· Extensive community bank background and leadership

· Comfortable with independent business development initiatives

· Successful at generating real estate loans and core deposits

· Solicit loan requests which meet the Bank’s lending philosophy and conform to Policy guidelines

· Experienced and comfortable with presentations to the Board

· Clearly identify with the Bank and Shareholders first in all situations

· Comfortable with being a public face of the Bank

· Willing to be active in community organizations that benefit the Bank

· Willing to make a long-term commitment

· Experience in loan committee leadership

Education and/or Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of coursework and work-related experience are eligible for consideration
  • Twelve (12+) years’ Commercial Real Estate Lending experience required; and a minimum of 5 years in a community bank leadership role
