POSITION SUMMARY: Radiologic Technologist reports to the Director of Corp Care and is responsible for direct patient care and medical screening to include history taking and various procedures (phlebotomy, audiograms, breath alcohol, pulmonary function etc.).# Works closely with clinic Team Leader to maintain efficient patient flow.# Responsible for assisting the physician in a variety of clinical and clerical duties as needed.# Performs all radiologic examinations under direction of medical provider.# Maintains quality and quality control of all processing equipment. # EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: ######### Graduate of an accredited Radiologic technology program ######### Must hold a valid ARRT certification with valid state of Connecticut license. # EXPERIENCE: Experience in phlebotomy and ancillary medical testing (audiometry, spirometry) is preferred. COMPETENCIES: ######### Must have excellent interpersonal customer service skills and strong verbal communication using the English language. ######### Knowledge of Windows based software personal computer programs is considered a plus. ######### Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites and off-clinics; and travel is required in order to perform essential duties. # ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES: Disclaimer: Job descriptions are not intended, nor should they be construed to be, exhaustive lists of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.# They are intended to be accurate reflections of the principal duties and responsibilities of this position.# These responsibilities and competencies listed below may change from time to time. # Job-Specific Competency 1.##### Takes and documents vital signs, records vision screenings and notes other required procedures according to policy.############## 2.##### Completes initial patient assessment for all injuries according to standards as evidenced by chart review.##### 3.##### Completes discharge process by instructing patient in work restrictions, medication directions and side effects, and scheduling follow up appointments. 4.##### Completes chain of custody form and drug screen collections according to protocol with no more than 1 error per month.############################################################### 5.##### Collects phlebotomy specimens as requested, demonstrating proficiency in all phlebotomy techniques with no more than one incident of supervisory counseling per review year.########################################### 6.##### Perform ancillary medical testing (pulmonary function, EKG, audiograms, vision screening, respirator fit testing) according to department procedures with no more than 2 errors annually. 7.##### Completes initial patient assessment and chart intake for all injuries according to departmental standards. 8.##### Assists with procedures as documented by supervisor and physician feedback 9.# Maintains patient rooms in a clean, orderly and well stocked manner.#################################################### #### 10.Works closely with clinical team leader and other staff members to ensure timely patient processing for each clinic visit 11. Researches patient files for MD, patients, Insurance reps, Client company, or others when necessary 12. Demonstrates competence and proficiency selecting the proper exposure factors needed to produce diagnostic quality radiographs while maintaining QA/QC for all processing equipment. 13. Demonstrates competence and proficiency in radiation protection, protecting self and all others during all radiologic examinations in compliance with departmental procedure with no documented incident of supervisory counseling per review year. 14. Demonstrates competence and proficiency utilizing all radiographic (diagnostic) equipment, including proper radiation protection. 15. Uses proper collimation to reduce field of exposure to body part being examined
