Dusty Robotics is a construction robotics company that creates robot-powered tools for the modern construction workforce.
Founded by second-time robotics entrepreneurs and staffed by experienced engineers, Dusty is dedicated to creating robots that work side-by-side with people to create value, leveraging our experience building and deploying robots at scale.
What we're building
Dusty’s FieldPrinter is a mobile printer-on-wheels that prints building floorplans (in CAD format) full-size on the concrete floor of a construction site. Our robot prints lines, text, and points with 1 mm accuracy, enabling builders to construct walls and fixtures on top of our layout with zero mistakes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0WEcUggsqU
We are looking for a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to help develop the front-end software that allows an operator to print a layout with the robot. This is an the opportunity to make our very in-demand product a delight to use! Your responsibilities would include design and implementation of features in the front-end application as well as some of the services on board the robot.
Prior robotics experience is a plus, but not required; we can teach you what you need to know. However, a passion for getting your hands dusty with hardware (and on construction sites) is required!
- 4+ years experience shipping software products
- Fluent in Python and modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20)
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Python-Tk, WPF/UWP, Flutter or React Native
- Experience with robots, hardware products or CAD software is a plus!
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field
