Quality Assurance Technician (2nd Shift)

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and is responsible for the day to day Quality Assurance of their designated production line(s) or area as assigned by the Quality Supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. In addition, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for providing direct oversight of employees ensuring all company procedures and guidelines are met. This position will be responsible for all line documentation as it pertains to food safety and quality. This role is responsible for communicating department needs to their Supervisor as well as suggesting further improvements.


  • Ensure that all work activities of the production line(s) are performed with attention to the highest standards of quality and safety and in compliance with all Company Programs, Policies, and Procedures with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Ensure product is produced to the specification agreed upon between DaBecca Natural Foods and their clients.
  • Perform daily inspection of the facility as it pertains to the designated production line(s)/area and Food Safety and Quality
  • Inspect production lines’ work to ensure food safety and quality
  • Collect finished product and environmental samples
  • Inspect quality and wholesomeness of meat products, ingredients, and materials prior to production
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis for any operational deviation
  • Suggest process improvements to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
  • Communicate with Production Lead to verify that all quality requirements are being met including but not limited to raw material, processing methods, and finished product specifications
  • Document and record all quality data
  • Promotes safety through work procedures, orderly work environments, and employee safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor


  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • Must have experience with maintaining quality assurance programs
  • Must have HACCP Training
  • Must have Emergency Training
  • Must have First Aid Training
  • Strong planning and organizational skills required
  • Must have experience complying with GMPs
  • Must have supervisory skills; demonstrate leadership by influencing others through effective communication, individual technical knowledge, and training
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal hands on coaching and direction
  • Must be able to function as a team player in the local management structure
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
