Manager, Investment Services--New Business and Service Administration

As the Manager of Investment Services--New Business and Service Administration at COUNTRY Financial, you'll oversee a team performing the new business and customer service administration relating to products within the Investment Services Division. This includes processes for managed accounts, broker/dealer accounts and fixed annuity products. You'll also oversee the activities of the new business review team.
These activities include oversight for COUNTRY Trust Bank (CTB)  and the complimentary products and/or services offered through COUNTRY Capital Management Company (CCMC) and COUNTRY Investors Life Assurance Company (CILAC). Oversees management of daily activities/workflow relative to department procedures governing account onboarding and account administration. Identifies related system issues to insure maximum efficiencies. Works closely with the investment services division management and other support units to deliver best in class account on-boarding and facilitation of account procedures within prescribed guidelines. Facilitates environment of ongoing review and enhancements to systems and workflows. Reviews need for additional software. Coordinates with Investment Services Division management and others to create effective training and educational programs. Consults with Compliance Managers and staff to resolve processing errors in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards. Partners with operational teams to maintain communication and coordination of all new and existing business activity including new account opening, suitability, principal sign-off, and efficient, accurate, and timely processing. Creates, adjusts, and manages department goals, service standards, and budget considerations.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are currently limiting the number of employees in our offices. This position will begin working in a remote capacity and will be expected to return to the assigned office location following a broader return to work announcement
  • Coordinates with appropriate resources to apply consistent suitability reviews and integrity in the review process (e.g., Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), state laws, federal tax laws).
  • Supervises and coordinates activities to provide quality service to internal/external customers in conjunction with CILAC annuity products, matured endowments, and supplementary agreements.
  • Creates sales communication and action plans for assigned products as well as works closely to coordinate sales and planning services within investment services division.
  • Works with supervisors and staff to create/improve workflow and procedures across team lines. Creates and enforces best practices, departmental goals (including retention), and budget adherence, with the goal of divisional profitability. Coordinates with business analysts, vendors and staff to achieve improvements in workflow and systems.
  • Provides comprehensive training of technical and regulatory issues for various types of retirement plans, tax reporting, investments, and asset allocations for financial representatives, staff, and clients. Researches and develops new products and services to enhance our product line.
  • Manages the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities in assigned areas. Maintains current contact information for all employees in applicable areas and communicates with non-recovery employees during a disaster.

Job RequirementsPreferred Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or Lean Office process management mastery.
  • Experience in a Registered Investment Advisor firm operations.
  • Specific experience and knowledge of change management as it relates to transformative projects.
  • Direct work and engagement with a distribution force.
  • Concept of process as a service.
Required Qualifications:
  • Typically requires:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of financial services or annuities experience OR,
  • Master’s degree and 6 years of financial services or annuities experience OR,
  • 10 years of financial services or annuities experience.
  • 2 years of management experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
