The primary function of this job is to provide outstanding service to members by promoting and selling credit union services and products to new and existing members and by fully using job-relevant technical skills, maintaining/updating technical skills and seeking to enhance service skills.
This position is a multileveled position with a job progression track, which requires the employee to be proficient in the following areas:
1) open new savings-product accounts ,
2) provide teller services to members,
3) process loan applications and close loans .
All front-office positions are high visibility/high volume and require the ability to make decisions within established guidelines, the willingness to work within a sales environment, and the ability to be a team player in an organization that values the spirit of teamwork.
- Process member loan inquiries and respond to member questionsExplain the credit union lending process Interview members to obtain information needed to develop credit applications Gather background information on loan applicants, researching discrepanciesVerify employment of persons applying for loansPull & review credit reports for all borrowersProcess credit applications using established credit procedures Cross-sell lending and other credit union products Input loan information in computer using established loan procedures Present application and supporting information to loan officerGenerate loan documents for, process and disburse consumer loans as directed Ensure documents are properly completed Ensure loan information is properly and accurately entered into the system Explain loan decisions to members in a clear and concise mannerCoordinate closing appointmentsAssist with processing payroll deduction, distribution, and allotments as needed Maintain loan files using established procedures
