Recognized and well-established California-based produce grower seeks individual with 5-7 years minimum Warehouse experience (preferably with Perishables/Produce handling) to run Shipping and Receiving operations at our Edison, New Jersey location. Additional CDL B driver certification or better is preferable.
Must be a self-starter, diplomatic, and task-oriented, and will handle various duties including training, inventory, data entry, transport logistics, Quality Assurance, and other managerial duties. In addition, must be able to perform all the functions of all Warehouse positions and Delivery Staff; must lead by example. Bi-lingual English and Spanish is required and must read and write proficiently in English. Must have ability to handle product with weights of up to 50 lbs. and work in Cold Chain Environment.
This is a Monday-Friday, first-shift (6 am – 2:30 pm), non-exempt hourly position, some schedule flexibility necessary, and some overtime will be required. Compensation negotiable within range, dependent on above qualifications. • Shipping and Receiving standards for Perishable Produce
• Inventory Handling, Management, Loss Prevention.
• Trucking and Vehicle Management
• Routing Logistics and Scheduling
• Facility and Equipment Maintenance
• Ability to Prioritize Multiple Tasks
• Other Duties as Assigned
• Staff Supervision (up to 10 employees)
• Reports to Operations Manager
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/English.
• CDL-B License or higher, with clean driving abstract record.
• Forklift certified.
• Must have general knowledge of Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving, Computer Data Entry.
• Prior Supervisory Experience a must.
