Direct Store Delivery Driver Salesperson

Full time Salaried position with bonus potential

Principal Duties

·        Manage overall sales for assigned accounts to meet budgeted goals through proper servicing of defined routes.

·        Working with each retailer to create an appropriate order that will provide suitable product inventory on hand to meet needs through the next scheduled delivery.

·        Select product from truck stock on hand and complete back door receiving process.

·        Merchandise Cabot product to shelves using best practices, including proper rotation to retail shelf and backstock.

·        Maintain and grow current Dairy case share of shelf as well as solicit and maintain additional displays with tools provided.

·        Order and maintain appropriate inventory levels for Warehouse and Truck to allow for timely and proper product supply to all assigned accounts.

·        Manage proper truck inventory organization to maximize route efficiencies.

·        Maintain proper DOT logbook protocol.

·        Work with local Ryder shop to assure proper maintenance of assigned vehicle.

Requirements

·        Experience working in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or retail food store environment preferred.

·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Persuasive interpersonal skills.

·        Aptitude to comprehend and execute sales plans.

·        Strong math skills.

·        Ability to communicate using email with a basic understanding of Excel.

·        Willingness to meet early start times as early as 3:00 AM.  Scheduled hours will fluctuate seasonally.

·        Overnight travel required.

·        Commercial Driver’s License “CDL-B” including updated DOT health card.

·        Safe driving record.

·        Familiarity with on board electronic logbooks.

·        Ability to lift up to 36 pounds.
