2nd Shift Production Supervisor

$60,000-$68,000 / YEAR
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the supervision of production teams
  • Meet established production schedules and product quality, cost and safety standard objectives
  • Supervise employees including time and attendance, training/certification of employees, workforce management and coaching/counseling/employee development
  • Clearly understand and consistently communicate information to team regarding Company policies and procedures
  • Manage all aspects of maintaining a safe working environment including responding to action items from Safety Audits, Accident Investigations and ability to identify and resolve potential safety exposures in assigned departments
  • Monitor finished production for quality and implement procedural changes as necessary
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping using 5S standards with ownership and involvement of all team members
  • Prepare and maintain production records, downtime records, and any/all additional documentation as necessary to ensure communication between departments
  • Review status and availability of parts and materials and request adjustments if required
  • Implement ongoing improvements within the department (s) for maximum efficiency
  • Foster the development of employees through training, coaching, and open and honest communication

  • Resolve employee issues in a timely manner and support needs of team
  • Support and actively participate in implementation of company initiatives and projects
  • Job RequirementsYOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in planning, organizing and executing
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to procedures
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, team building skills, and ability to influence others
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) along with a minimum of 5 years of successful work in a manufacturing environment, or an Associate's Degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Highly organized with exceptional problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and mentor a team
  • Of note: 2nd shift runs from 5:00pm thru 3:30am
