BrightQuest is currently recruiting for Licensed Nurses – shifts will vary . The LPN is responsible for ensuring coordination of care around clients’ medication and checking vitals. The LPN must have a positive attitude, follow directions well, communicate clearly and possess the ability to work independently when required. They should exhibit a high level of professionalism and healthy emotional and physical boundaries. They must have a strong work ethic and be a reliable team player. The LPN looks after the physical and mental well-being of vulnerable adults in our care.

**If selected for an overnight shift, employees working this position are required to be alert and available for the entire shift.**

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • CPR / First Aid certified.
  • Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Certification to administer injections and TB tests a plus.
  • Two years of experience in a behavioral health residential treatment setting, supporting individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis.
  • Must be familiar with general pharmacy abbreviations and demonstrate awareness and competency with managing lookalike, soundalike medications.
  • Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.
  • Preferred candidates should have sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and milieu therapy.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs.
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
  • Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. •
  • Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in schedule are essential.
  • Job RequirementsEssential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures physician’s orders are sent to the pharmacy in a timely manner and that medications are delivered to the facility.
  • Provides support and training for Residential & Milieu Support Staff with regards to medication setup and administration support.
  • Oversees the check in of the medication cycle each month with the support of the pharmacy liaison.
  • During intake assessment, complete the medication review with client and/or families.
  • Coordinates dissemination of medication to clients each day.
  • Basic administrative support, such as phones, faxes, email correspondence, filing, etc.
  • Relate professionally, ethically, and compassionately to clients, peers, and staff at all times.
  • Tracks clients’ physician appointments, schedules appointments, and ensures proper follow up.
  • Establishes care with appropriate physicians within one week of new client intake; facilitates care transitions between hospitals and emergency departments for new and established patients and schedules follow-up appointments (as needed), in a timely manner.
  • Model appropriate interpersonal relationships, emotional regulation, and boundaries.
  • Model and reinforce positive behaviors of clients, and promotes social interaction by conversing with them, participating in activities with them, etc.
