Bonnie Brae, a Special Education School and Residential Treatment Facility for at risk youth, is currently seeking a full time Registered Nurse to support our Community Home Programs located in the cities of Bound Brook, Bridgewater, New Brunswick and Chester, New Jersey, which are all located within a 20 mile radius of our Main Campus in Liberty Corner, New Jersey.

The Registered Nurse in this role will spend the majority of their time in the Community Homes, but will also spend some of their workweek on our Main Campus. Bonnie Brae’s Health Office utilizes an interdisciplinary approach for the holistic treatment of over 100 residents

Job Requirements

Job responsibilities include: overseeing medication administration in the Community Homes, facilitating, as need, vaccine administration and management, processing of provider orders, providing health education, triage/treatment, documentation in the EMR, case management, oversight and coordination of medical appointments for youth, attendance and participation in treatment team meetings, in addition to other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Services.

The full time Registered Nurse position is primarily a day shift positon with some flexibility needed and one weekend per month required.

Candidate will possess the following:

Education / License / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Experience:

  • Valid, unrestricted New Jersey Nurse License required.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Minimum of 1 year post licensure experience in a clinical setting required.
  • Pediatric, case management, home care and/or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
