RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our data architecture which holds petabytes of health data used for analysis and research. Our infrastructure uses Airflow, StreamSet, Snowflake, Apache Spark, and other cutting-edge technologies to securely receive and process hundreds of millions of data points per day. In this role you will also:
- Design scalable, high performance solutions that continuously handle terabytes of data
- Define and review Technical Design Documents used to architect our systems
- Learn and use Terraform and Kubernetes to deploy and manage our infrastructure
- Work with data scientists to analyze data at scale
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related technical field)
- 5+ software engineering experience or equivalent (e.g., CS undergrad + some work)
- Proficiency with object oriented programming languages (e.g., Python,)
- Experience building data pipelines with modern technologies (e.g., Spark, Airflow)
- Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., Postgres, Redshift) and cloud data-stores (e.g., S3)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master degree in Computer Science
- Working knowledge of AWS and its services (e.g., Kinesis, Aurora, RDS)
- Proficiency with StreamSets and Snowflake
- Experience working with HIPAA regulated data and being compliant with CCPA, GDPR, etc
