Intel Data Platforms team is recognized broadly as experts working closely with Intel’s key partners to deliver highly optimized solutions for both enterprise and cloud customers. As part of the Data Platform team, you will work across Intel Product Groups, Architects, and with our external partner to deliver highly optimized database solutions spanning on-premise to cloud to solve challenges in a rapidly moving business and technology environment. You will be working on current and next-generation IA platforms to optimize SW and HW stack to improve performance and enable new IA technologies for server products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Engage with External as well as Intel teams to understand the use case for new technologies and opportunities for Intel
• Understand data platforms software internals to build product knowledge
• Evaluate new Intel technologies like storage, memory, security by creating Proof of concepts and present the findings to our partners as well as Intel architects
• Use performance methodologies to improve Intel's hardware and optimize data platforms software to ensure the best performance on IA
• Collaborates well with the wider team and mentor more junior team members
• Drive learnings and feedback from external customers into Intel's future roadmap

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork classes research and/or relevant

previous job and/or internship experiences

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors 3 or more years of experience or Master’s with 2+years of experience or PhD. in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

2+ years of experience with the following technical skills:

• Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals
• Software Development, Software Optimization, and Debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance tools and methodologies
• Expertise in Server Operating Systems and concepts
• Experience with performance tools like EMON Xperf Vtune
• Multithreaded programming patterns and libraries knowledge
• Experience or knowledge of databases database design concepts
• Understanding of Server environments such as database cloud and enterprise applications performance
