As part of FCE's Digital Transformation initiative, the organization is transitioning to cloud-based systems and technologies which require a completely different set of skills for a wide array of datasets to enable end-to-end analytics for delivering fab construction cost, schedule, and predictability improvements. The information systems and analytics team require qualified individual(s) with deep cloud-based data engineering, architecture, and analytics experience to help drive the acceleration of data and analytics deliverables. This includes, but not limited to designing, architecting, implementing new capabilities using Azure services and solutions for construction-related projects. Cloud architects and data engineers design and implement robust, scalable data infrastructure solutions which enable the ability to compile and translate data into information and enable business strategies, improve operations, or otherwise unlock business value. They are responsible for architecting designs and implementation of a data product line, for the overall business, data, and analytics needs.
This is an Intel Contract Employee (ICE) position and location is Ocotillo, Arizona and relocation assistance will be provided.
As a Cloud Data Architect your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Technical leadership for architecting and designing end-to-end data pipelines for delivering analytics solutions within FCE.

Influence technical direction for solutions related to our Digital Transformation strategy.

Set and refine technical objectives for developing capabilities to rapidly implement against FCE digital transformation needs.

Develop and implement software and data quality standards as part of FCE's systems and data pipeline architecture.

Manage interdependencies and integration among multiple technical projects and teams, to define and transform current data processes across our FCE business domains.

Create and maintain optimal, scalable architecture, including building out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.

Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Azure Cloud (Azure) technologies.

Build data tools and capabilities for analytics and data scientist team members that utilize the data pipeline for building and optimizing our solutions to deliver construction analytics, including training.

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

Work with stakeholders including analytics and business teams to execute against data and analytics needs across FCE's construction projects, including assisting with system-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have at least one of the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science or Information Systems or closely related field with 6+ years of experience in ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) or Data Warehousing methodologies or techniques using SQL/No-SQL environments, with recent skills and experience with Azure cloud-based services like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Azure Synapse.

Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science or Information Systems or closely related field with 4+ years of experience in ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) or Data Warehousing methodologies or techniques using SQL/No-SQL environments, with recent skills and experience with Azure cloud-based services like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Azure Synapse.
Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Certificates/Certifications (e.g. Azure Data Engineer).

Spark/PySpark or Jupyter Notebooks development.
-
Microsoft software development stack (.NET or C# or SQL, etc.)

Experience in Azure DevOps, including implementation of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) solutions for Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.

SQL Server Analysis Services - Tabular, Power BI Modeling and Visualizations.

Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, construction, tool install/ramp systems and related business acumen.

Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (Azure ML).
