Ellington Management Group is a hedge fund operating within multiple fixed-income securities markets. We are currently seeking Full-Stack Developers with exceptional analytical abilities and demonstrated programming skills to join our core engineering team.

As a Full-Stack developer, your primary responsibilities will be to design, build, and maintain applications which support various business units across the firm. You may work on projects such as building out interfaces for traders, data modeling for investors, or extending our quantitative research capabilities. As a team, we manage complex proprietary trading software, SQL databases, integration interfaces , and more.

Good communication skills are a must; many of our developers directly interface with traders, portfolio managers, researchers, and other key figures in our firm. Developers work with both technical and non-technical people to shape our technical ecosystem to be reliable, maintainable, and efficient.

Ellington does both desktop and web application development to suit the individual needs of different projects within our firm. Our tech stacks consist of Microsoft technologies (such as C#, SQL Server, and ASP.NET) in combination with light-weight JS frameworks. We also employ Python for web automation and server-side data manipulation.

General Qualifications :

• Recent graduates to 5 years of experience
• 3.3 Overall GPA
• Major or Concentration in Computer Science
• Knowledge of Financial Markets - or- strong interest and willingness to learn
• Experience with C# and SQL
• Experience with JQuery, front-end frameworks, or ASP.NET (Optional, Strongly Encouraged)
