YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

Metova's engineering team is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our growing team.

You are highly motivated, collaborative, and technical, with the passion to help shape the delivery of software products for our customers. You are passionate about Ruby on Rails and interested in helping to shape the future of our Engineering team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Ruby on Rails Engineer you will:

• Write beautiful code in Ruby and Rails (often for new features, new products/platforms)
• Work with a SCRUM team with other RoR engineers and front-end (Vue.js), QA/Test, and DevOps engineers
• Discuss the best architecture for a feature and dive deep into Design Patterns
• Write clear documentation with the help of Product and Tech Ops
• Use good coding standards (best framework and language idioms)
• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering leaders (CTO & VP)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in Ruby and/or Rails (developing and monitoring production Rails apps)
• Experience developing idiomatic Rails applications to a high standard
• RESTful API design and know-how
• Experience writing tests for your code
• Strong experience in a top-level database system (ideally Postgres, but others work also)
• It’s also helpful to have some experience with Amazon Web Services (particularly EC2, EKS, Lambda, etc.)
