Job Title Powertrain Project Manager Description STG has opening
for Powertrain Project Manager. This position based in Auburn
Hills, Michigan is for a Fortune 500 client of STG and is expected
to be long term.
STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship
assistance to candidates in the US, if needed. Position Description
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.
Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns
responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of
project.
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of
project. Leads and directs the work of others. Responsibilities
include program planning, development and maintenance of master
timing schedules, project risk assessments, change management, and
project integration across the various functional departments.
This position is responsible for program management of all
Powertrain Engineering assembly plant end-items (focus on the
interfaces with Vehicle Engineering).
3-5 yearsrsquo experience. Requirements bull Bachelor of Science
degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or
another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited
university or equivalent.
bull Design, development, and program management experience in
broad powertrain functions andor vehicle engineering in any of the
following areas engine, transmission, driveline, packaging,
adaptation, controls, or calibration bull Demonstrated high
leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational
skills.
bull Proficient in Google Suite andor MS Office applications
(Docs, Slides, and Sheets) bull Demonstrated understanding of the
OEM product development processes, including Global Vehicle
Development (GVD), design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI),
and gate processes.
bull Demonstrated team building skills. bull Demonstrated
ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction
(ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
Preferred Qualifications bull Master of Science degree in Applied
Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace
Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering
discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
bull Master of Business Administration Degree from an ABET
accredited university or equivalent. bull Experience and
understanding of the vehicle cost process (SCE or VCE) bull
Experience with the ERD roll-up process bull Experience with Change
Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process bull
Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive
benchmarks bull Multiple program life cycle experience bull
Experience as a ResidentQuality Engineer at one or more
manufacturing plants bull International cultural experience with
