Accountemps is looking to hire an Accounting Assistant for an
admired company in the distribution industry. The Accounting
Assistant will mainly be responsible for matching invoices to
purchase orders and / or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the
process of Accounts Payable (A / P).

This is a temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity located
in Mobile, Alabama area. This position offers a flexible schedule
of Monday – Friday 7 : 00 am – 4 : 00 pm or 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00
pm.

Your responsibilities :

Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper
classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

Assist Accounts Payable : vendor invoices and disbursement
filing, A / P invoice matching & filing

Assist with Cash handling and Cashier responsibilities on a
part-time basis

Work with Accounts Receivable : apply cash receipt, help with
collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices /
credit

Post financial information to journals and ledgers

Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of
disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the
effect on other accounts;

prepare correction documents as required

Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a
number of sources

General accounting : help with G / L account reconciliation and
month-end closing, other ad hoc project

Job Requirements :

Accounts Payable (AP), Customer Service, Microsoft Excel,
Purchase Orders, Receptionist Duties, Cash Handling
