You will be responsible for working within the OmniAI DevOps and software development teams for the development of software and services for the AI platform. You should preferably have start-up experience where you have supported rapid prototyping efforts and have catalyzed product development in a fast paced, fluid environment. You have a strong knowledge of the role DevOps plays in being an essential part of the software development team and standing up and supporting a variety of servers and services in a cloud environment. You also are responsible for monitoring, alerting/notifications, log analysis and diagnosing system issues, and responding to site issues. You will also explore support for cloud (AWS) environments and solutions to provide common tools and views. Because we are a hybrid cloud environment, you should have solid experience in AWS *and* also be interested in learning core areas of our on-prem services, in order to provide support for both cloud & on-prem environments.
This position is primarily located in the firm's Delaware Technology Center.
Required Skills
* Experience as a hands-on DevOps engineer, managing provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of a variety of servers, services and logs in a hybrid cloud environment.
* Knowledge of system architecture, networking, and services, including databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, messaging, search, and various open-source services.
* Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
* Managing and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems
* Solid understanding of programming and scripting languages, including Python, or Ruby. You're more at home using CLIs versus GUIs when doing your work.
* Understanding of networking, including DNS, firewalls, load balances, subnets, etc.
* Experience with AWS, or Azure, and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field
* Minimum 4 years' work experience in product development with at least 2 years working in DevOps
* Strong CI/CD knowledge and operating systems
* Experience supporting consumer-facing products and platforms
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools (Jira)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in computer science or related field
* Knowledge of AI/ML platform and framework models
* Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo/Team City to integrate automated tests and pipeline builds
* Hands-on experience on relational/non-relational database technologies
* Understanding the full life cycle of development from requirements gathering to delivery
