Who is Castor? Castor is a young, dynamic and fast-growing health tech startup. What’s our mission? To bring medical research practices into the digital age. Using real-time, standardised , inclusive and broader datasets we hope to fundamentally change the broken evidence based medicine process through use of data. BOOM! You’ve found yourself a company with a true purpose. Driven by a core purpose, our 'Castorians' (a.k.a our awesome employees) believe data and user-friendly technology is key to overcoming the healthcare challenges of the future. We have a diverse team, employing Dutch, Canadian, German, Swedish, Romanian, British, Chilean, Uruguayan, Australian, Filipino and Indian staff. You can get to know our people on our team page and go to Instagram to get a feel for our company culture. What do we do? We are developing Castors Electronic Data Capture platform, a web application that allows medical researchers to collect data for their clinical studies. We are one of the fastest growing HealthTech companies, having grown our customer base to over 30,000 researchers worldwide. We are proud of the fact that our customers are our biggest growth engine. Once they use our product, they fall in love and tell their fellow researchers! What is our Castor vs. COVID-19 project? Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. As of May 1, Castor is supporting more than 180 COVID-19 studies across 15 countries. Since time is of the essence, we have enabled these studies to go live within 5 days on average. What is our "big, hairy, audacious" goal?!" We want to accelerate medical research by unlocking the potential of every researcher. Starting with an easy to use and affordable EDC we want to help researchers throughout the entire medical research process. We believe that standardizing and reusing research datasets is key to meeting tomorrow’s healthcare challenges.

Castor

Remote Senior Front-end Engineer (React,js)

“Castor’s success is due in no small part to our attention to UI & UX. The ability to remain agile in this field is crucial.” - David Sigley, Head of Engineering at Castor

Who is Castor?

Castor is a leading cloud-based clinical data platform working with some of the world’s largest medical device companies, biopharma, and renowned academic institutes.

We simplify the clinical trial process, from recruitment to analysis, with user-friendly, patient-centric technology. Our mission is to bring medical research into the digital age. Why? Because medical research is still largely run using free-text, paper, and legacy technology.

Our self-service platform enables our users to run remote, device enabled, patient-centric trials. By helping our users capture high-quality data and making it machine-readable, we are fundamentally changing the flawed evidence-based medicine process.

How is Castor supporting the Coronavirus crisis?

Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. Castor is supporting more than 250 COVID-19 studies across the world, including the World Health Organization’s SOLIDARITY trial.
